- When mankind
first roamed this earth, he was provided with certain foods and
water to keep him on balance with nature so that he could survive
and grow. The pristine water available was surface water collected
from rainfall. This rain fell through an atmosphere that was
rich in oxygen and void of nitric, hydrochloric and sulfuric
acids. Once on the ground, the water collected in shallow pools
and streams where our early relatives could easily obtain a refreshing,
thirst quenching drink that hydrated their systems and blended
with the foods that they ate.

- Millions of
years later natural and man made pollutants have drastically
changed the chemistry of the water that is available to us. The
oxygen in the air available to put oxygen into the rain is estimated
to be less than one half of what it once was. Also adding to
the change in the water is the high acid content (enough to actually
dissolve historical statues), volatile chemicals and soot in
the atmosphere. Add to these problems all the minerals, pesticides,
fertilizers, animal wastes and industrial chemicals that the
rain water picks up as it finds it's way through the ground to
our wells.

We have the technology to produce chemical changes to the water
that supposedly help us win marathon races, whiten our teeth,
give us a burst of energy or have a fruit taste. Does this sound
like something nature intended for us? We do not think so.
