Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems
Almost daily, we hear or read of a new pollution material that potentially has found it's way into the nation's drinking water. Municipalities do their very best to provide an excellent quality water, but some of the newly found pollutants were never considered when the treatment plants were constructed. Private well supplies are at the mercy of nearby and even distant industrial and agricultural discharges both legal and illegal.
A popular and reasonable alternative to drinking our home, school and work place tap water has been the purchase of bottled water. This approach has come under some assault because of unscrupulous suppliers with plastic materials and the disposal of bottles. The answer to the problems posed is to produce your own high quality water using a personal drinking water reverse osmosis system.
Though we refer to our systems as reverse osmosis drinking water, in many of our models we go much further by incorporating important extra filtration steps. We offer systems that mound underneath a counter with a separate faucet near the sink, countertop systems that require no plumbing as they connect directly to a faucet and set on the counter and water coolers for dispensing hot and cold treated water.
Almost all of our reverse osmosis drinking water systems feature one to one product to drain for maximum efficiency. We rely on the reverse osmosis membrane to remove 90% of materials dissolved in the water and particulate filtration down to .0005 micron which prevents the passage of bacteria, viruses and cysts. Pre-filtration removes chlorine, chloramines and organics such as pesticides and insecticides. Select Models remove the remaining 10% of the dissolved solids for ultra purity, oxygenate the treated water and also impart electrolytes to slightly elevate the pH. Monitors advise the owner when to replace filters.
